I thoroughly enjoyed this dish! Sweet & spicy is definitely the apt description here. I ran out of cornstarch so I subbed in rice flour. Came out with a nice crunch on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce worked well for me too. It is not anything like sweet & sour takeout. It's 1000 times better! And healthy!

So I think my only mistake was trying to use a zip lock bag to shake the peanut butter coating on the chicken and then just dumping it into the pan vs. shaking off the excess coating. It caused the chicken to be a little bit mushy instead of crispy. Flavor was really good and this was my first time with the powdered peanut butter (who knew?) so I'll definitely try this again.

My family loved this recipe. I made it as written, except that I forgot to pick up a red pepper so used broccoli instead. Even Publix carries the powdered peanut butter! We did not find it too spicy with 2T sriracha, and my husband added extra, so I disagree with some of the other reviews there, but that is just a matter of taste. What I do agree with is that the time required to make this was longer than 23 minutes. I only could have pulled it together that quickly if I had an assistant to do all the chopping. No such luck. Nevertheless, I will definitely make again.

Great flavor - very complex and interesting. I'm glad I hunted down the powdered peanut butter. As other reviewers have noted, this is NOT the generic "sweet and sour chicken" you find at the Chinese buffet. It also took me way, way longer than 23 minutes to pull together - I am a slow cooker (ha), but even so I think that estimate is off.

This recipe is really good! My whole family loved it. I would agree its not sweet and sour its more like sweet and spicy. This recipe has to be written wrong. There is plenty of spice or heat in just one TBSP of the sriracha, no need for 2 TBSP unless you like it incredibly hot. Besides only adding one TBSP of the sriracha, I made the recipe exactly as written adding the cilantro to the whole dish at the end. Loved it!

I bought PB2 at Walmart. If you omitted the PB2 you didn't experience the best part of the recipe and it will not be the same. I used less Sriracha. The "sour" is the vinegar in the Sriracha and in the worcestershire for those who didn't know the source of the vinegar. I make it for just me so double the sauce and refrigerate half of it for another meal.

I used half the Sriacha and subbed a tablespoon of lime juice for a tablespoon of water. Next time would double the sauce and add some broccoli, but the flavor was great.

This was delicious made just as recipe stated, was a little hesitant of the peanut butter powder. Not overpowering at all, if I hadn't shown to my kids, nobody would have known it was an ingredient. The texture and coating of the chicken was such a pleasant surprise, very tasty.

I followed the recipe exactly. This was really good and I will make it again for sure. When I do I will be cutting the sesame seeds in half.

Easy and tasty. Did double the sauce and added 8 oz can pineapple chunks and used juice in place of water. Will definitely make again, especially to use up the powdered peanut butter.

It was good, but as some other reviews stated it's a bit hot, even if you like heat. I added another tablespoon of plum sauce to cut a little of the the heat. Also added more water to sauce, as it became a little too thick when combined with the coating on the chicken.

I found powdered peanut butter at Whole Foods. (Reminds a lot of the tomato powder I use.) We're not spicy fans so I cut the chile sauce to 1 Tbsp. It was plenty spicy for us. I served it with Jasmine rice and Sugar Snap peas. I agree that it's not very sweet even though I added nearly 2 Tbsp of plum sauce.

This recipe evoked my memories of Chinese restaurant sweet and sour dishes, but without being sickeningly sweet or weighed down in deep-fried fat. And, it lived up to its promise of being quick and easy. I didn't find powdered peanut butter - I looked at Trader Joe's and a local specialty store - so I just used more Wondra flour as the recipe suggested. I loved having a sort of batter on the chicken. I forgot to add the Worcestershire sauce and the sesame seeds, and I omitted the cilantro, but otherwise I followed the recipe as written. I plan to make it again.

There's nothing sour about this chicken, it was sweet and very spicy. My husband and I love spicy food, so it wasn't a problem for us, but my two year old cried when he ate it. There's hardly enough sauce for the chicken, the finished product definitely doesn't look like the picture. The meal wasn't bad, but calling it Sweet and Sour Chicken is misleading, this is nothing remotely like it.

Excellent! I really liked how the chicken is "battered" with the powdered peanut butter and flour and then pan fried...it gives the chicken a crunchy texture, which goes well with the sauce. I had some trouble finding the powdered peanut butter, but glad I finally did because I think it definitely gave it a different flavor. One note...I love spicy food, but will warn anyone who likes a little less spice to reduce down the amount of Sriracha - 2 tablespoons gives it quite a kick! Will definitely make this again!

This did not have a sweet and sour taste at all--I am not sure what the "sour" in this recipe is supposed to come from, because there is no vinegar or other tart ingredient at all. The flavor was more "sweet and spicy." We also found the texture very unappealing. It did not have a smooth, shiny sauce like pictured; rather the whole dish was was thick, floury and rather gummy. I had to use the extra flour rather than powdered peanut butter, as we have a peanut allergy in our family; perhaps this caused the texture problem. Regardless, no one in my house cared for it and we will not make it again.

So yummy! I reduced the sriracha to 1 tablespoon as I was worried it would be too spicy for the kids. One of two kids loved it which is a success in my book!

I made this exactly as it is written and it was so delicious. It really tasted like something you would order at an authentic Chinese restaurant. There are a lot of ingredients, but that's what creates such rich flavors, and it's hard to complain about that. It is pretty quick to make, despite the laundry list of ingredients. I will DEFINITELY make this again.
